Our story
About Numertypho
A Bratislava studio built for adults who want steady practice — not spectacle.
Numertypho Drawing Studio began as a shared easel room for painters who needed evening light and a quiet table after office hours. The name Numertypho stays on the door and in every class sheet so the place feels personal rather than corporate. We teach drawing and painting for adults in English and Slovak as needed, with English used throughout this website.
Our tutors come from atelier-style training and freelance illustration backgrounds. They agree on a few house rules: demos stay short, critique stays specific, and nobody is ranked by social media. Numertypho is not an art therapy clinic and makes no medical or professional licensing claims. We simply provide space, structure, and honest feedback for people who want to see better and mark more clearly.
The studio occupies a loft-style room on Panenská 15 in Bratislava’s 811 03 district. Trams stop nearby; bikes can be locked on the street level. Inside you will find wooden easels, a communal sketch table, drying racks, and a small materials shelf for first-time visitors. We keep ventilation practical for water-based media and for oils when scheduled.
If Numertypho sounds like the right pace, read the classes page or send a short note through contact. We answer during opening hours and will tell you which evening has space.
What we care about
- Adult focus Schedules, subjects, and conversation stay oriented to grown-up learners.
- Drawing before decoration Structure and light come first; colour follows with intention.
- Local address A real Bratislava street door — Panenská 15 — not a virtual classroom.
- Calm room culture Phones down during demos; music low; critique without theatrics.
