Structured adult sessions for drawing foundations and painting practice — evenings and Saturday mornings in Bratislava.
How sessions run
Numertypho keeps class sizes modest so tutors can reach every easel. A typical evening opens with a short demonstration — a contour exercise, a value scale, or a limited palette mix — then moves into independent work with circulating feedback. We finish with a brief group look at two or three pieces, focusing on clear observation rather than praise contests.
Beginners are welcome in foundation drawing. If you already paint and want critique on composition or colour temperature, ask for a painting evening or an open studio seat. Numertypho does not run children’s camps or birthday packages; the room stays oriented to adult learners.
Bring a sketchbook if you have one. For first visits we can lend graphite, charcoal, and basic watercolour. Oil painters should bring their own solvents and mediums that match studio ventilation rules — we will confirm details when you book.
Class checklist
- Drawing foundations (weekday evenings) Line, proportion, negative space, and simple still-life setups. Ideal if you are returning after a long break.
- Figure from plaster Classical busts and casts under steady studio light — useful training before life-drawing elsewhere.
- Watercolour evenings Wet-in-wet washes, dry brush control, and restrained colour for urban sketches.
- Acrylic colour studies Opaque layering, value keys, and small studies that finish in one session.
- Oil painting block Longer sittings with limited palettes; book ahead so we can arrange drying space.
- Open studio seats Quiet easel time without a full lesson — bring your own project and work beside others.
- Saturday morning drawing Two-hour graphite focus while the Old Town is still calm.
